Use our coal news to stay in touch with what is happening in the international coal industry.
The most recent news items appear on the home page, where clicking on them will provide details, providing that your Coalportal membership includes daily news or that specific article has been made available to all readers.
All articles are also archived in the Coal News Archive that can be reached by clicking on Coal News from the main menu, or by clicking on Daily News Archive from any news article.
Searching the News Archive
To search the archive you can enter a date range and/or a search term. To enter a date range, type the start date and year, and select the month for both Display From and to.
To search the archive by keyword, enter the keyword in the box to the right of the word containing. Alternatively, news can be searched alongside other information by typing a keyword into the search box on the top right hand side of the page.
Page Navigation
Search results are displayed as multiple pages, and you will see the current page and total number of pages (for example, page 1 or 910) near the bottom-center of the display.
Below if are links to go back (one page), 5 pages, ten pages, 100 pages, or to the start, and to go forward (one page), 5 pages, 10 pages, 100 pages or to the end.
Navigation links that are usable are coloured in orange and can be clicked on. Unusable links are colored in black. For example, if you are on the first page, all links to go to previous pages are black, while if you are less than ten pages from the end, links to go forward ten or 100 pages will be black.
