India approves JV for 1,980MW power plant

The Indian government has approved a joint venture between the state-owned coal miner Neyveli Lignite Corporation and Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam to develop a 1,980MW coal-fired power plant in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
