FREIGHT: Rates begin to recover

The Panamax market firmed last week, as the entry of US coal cargoes supplemented grain exports from Latin America which continued to help absorb available ships. Average vessel earnings climbed above $12,000/day for the first time in over three months, with the average jumping more than $3,000/day in the last week alone to hit $12,402/day.
